OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN, A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. The Hot 95-7 Hot or Not Hot contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Friday, May 9, 2008  at approximately 2 p.m. Central Time (“CT”) and end on Friday, June 20, 2008 at approximately 8 p.m. CT. 

b. To participate in the Contest, listeners may enter via the following method:  Log on to the KKHH website, www.hothits957.com and join the Hot List.  On the online sign up form fill in your first name, last name, e-mail address, password, date of birth, gender, zip code, day time phone number and work phone number.   Anyone who has already signed up for the HOT list will automatically be entered in this contest.  Only one internet entry per person and one Internet entry per e-mail address is permitted.  Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible by assigning e-mail address or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. For purposes of these official rules, “receipt” of an online entry occurs when the www.hothits957.com servers record the entry information after the entrant clicks the submit button.  Any automated computer receipt (such as one confirming delivery of e-mail) does not constitute proof of actual receipt by KKHH of an online entry for purposes of these official rules.  All entries must be received by 2pm on Thursday, June 19, 2008.  
 
c. KKHH is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. 

2. ELIGIBILITY INSTRUCTIONS

a.   The Contest is open to all KKHH listeners who are 16 years of age or older and reside in the greater Houston metropolitan area. Employees of KKHH (the “Station”), its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Houston metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win.

b.  Listeners are eligible to win a KKHH prize valued at $600 or more only once every six (6) months.  Only one winner per household is permitted in this  contest.

c. Winners will be required to present a government-issued photo identification card and sign a liability and publicity release form in order to claim a prize.  If winner is under the age of 18, that winner’s parent or guardian must claim prize and sign liability and publicity release form and also show a valid government-issued photo identification card.

d. Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

3. PRIZES

a. A maximum of one hundred and twenty (120) prizes will be awarded.  Each prize will consist of one (1) $95.00 Visa Gift Card.   Gift cards will expire on October 31, 2008.  Prize will be awarded with in 30 days of winning.  Approximate retail value:  $95.00.

b.  All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of KKHH, 24 Greenway Plaza, Suite 1900, Houston, TX 77046 Monday- Friday during regular business hours.  Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of notification of the prize being ready will be forfeited by the winner.  In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss.  KKHH is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, solely at its discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash.  The prizes are expressly limited to the items above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expense.  Other restrictions may apply.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of KKHH management with respect to the Contest are final.

b. At approximately 2 pm each weekday between Friday, May 9, 2008 through Thursday, June 19, 2008, four (4) potential winners will be selected in a random drawing from all registered members of the Hot List that have not been previously selected as potential winners for this Contest.  The following weekday, each of their names will be announced on air on KKHH between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.  Each name will be announced at a different time during the day.  When a contestant hears his or her name announced on air, the contestant will have 957 seconds from the time of the on-air announcement to successfully call in on the station’s contest line at 713-390-5957.  When the potential winner calls in on the contest line, the on-air personality will ask the potential winner “Are you HOT or NOT?”  The potential winner must then respond by saying “I’m HOT 95-7!” to become a winner, upon confirmation of eligibility.   Potential winners failing to call within the nine hundred and fifty seven (957) second time allotment will not win the prize, no alternate winner will be selected for that prize, and that entrant will not be eligible to win again during this Contest.

c.  Winner must listen but need not be present to win.   

d. Odds of winning depend in part upon the number of eligible entries received.

e.  Winner must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within 30 days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and another winner will not be selected. 

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

b. By participating in the Contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest without additional financial or other compensation, and where legal, to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.

c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, KKHH in its sole discretion may require Contest winners to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Contest.

d. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Station’s website or is otherwise in violation of the rules.  It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

e. KKHH reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. 

f. Failure to comply with the Contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, solely at the discretion of KKHH.

g. KKHH is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest or in the announcement of a prize.  

h. Copies of the written Contest rules and a list of all winners are available (when complete) during regular business hours at the main studio of KKHH, 24 Greenway Plaza, Suite 1900, Houston, TX 77046 or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to KKHH.

6.  INTERNET SWEEPSTAKES PRIVACY POLICY

a. Buy use of this website and by entering the Contest, you agree to the Station’s Web Site Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at www.hothits957.com.
